Kigin graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and two minors in Spanish and Evolutionary Biology/ Ecology. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mercer University School of Law where she was a member of Mock Trial and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Kigin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, gardening, walking her dogs, and volunteering for a local animal shelter.
